We are offering an intense training course to teach licensed agents all about short sales; how to protect the sellers and your license. Handling short sales is putting your license at risk if not done correctly.

Many agents listing short sales today are in direct violation of RESPA which comes with a fine of not more than $10,000 or imprisonment for not more than one year or both. Refer to page 18 of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.  Violating RESPA is only one of the many ways handling a short sale incorrectly can cause you to lose your license, be charged with fines and even face prison.

Real estate agents that belong to the National Association of Realtors are held to a higher ethical standard. See Articles 11 and 12 of the Code of Ethics that Realtors must adhere to.  In addition, the Ohio Division of Real Estate holds agents to a higher standard than the public.  See Articles 1,2,4 and 5 of the Canons of EthicsFor those real estate agents outside of Ohio; we recommend you know the real estate law in the state where you practice.
